Nearby is the National Trust Penrose estate with the tranquil waters of Loe Pool, the largest fresh-water lake in Cornwall. Loe Bar has been declared an area of special scientific interest because of its unique construction and rare plants.
A short drive away are the National Seal Sanctuary, Flambards Experience, and golf courses.
